In Q2 2025, Dutch startups received about €716M in investment, with estimates suggesting an actual figure of €747M. This marks a 67% increase compared to Q2 2024, which saw €429M, and is also a 67% rise from Q1 2025. A total of 101 investments occurred in Q2, making it a highly active quarter in the Dutch ecosystem. The rise in investments includes significant increases in pre-seed funding and reflects growing market confidence despite ongoing uncertainties in the global landscape.
"We're seeing two positive exceptions simultaneously that we don't see every quarter: a few very large rounds and an increase in the number of deals, both early and late stage."
"These figures show that the Dutch startup ecosystem is in full swing, and it seems the market has become accustomed to the uncertainty. Compared to the same period last year, the market has doubled in both numbers and investment volume."
