On Sept. 12, the official Flappy Bird account announced its return, expressing excitement over the past success but clarifying that the original creator is not involved.
Dong Nguyen, the creator of Flappy Bird, stated, 'No, I have no [relation to] their game. I did not sell anything,' distancing himself from the new development.
Flappy Bird was released in 2013 and became a massive hit, generating $50,000 a day in advertising revenue during its peak before being taken offline for its addictive nature.
