Three former engineers from Coinbase launched Nook, a crypto savings app, with $2.5 million funding. The app aims to simplify access to crypto lending by reducing the complexities of existing platforms. Users can sign up with just an email address, avoiding the need for a crypto wallet. Nook, which has over 50,000 waitlisted customers, currently partners with Moonwell to offer an 8% annual return on crypto lending. The founder emphasizes clear messaging and regulatory compliance as core principles of the venture.
"What we're trying to do is make the experience a lot easier, make the messaging a lot more clear...and stick to a clear setup where we are within the regulatory confines and we are following the rules," he said.
"We can't guarantee it, but that has been the results that users have been seeing," Isaacson said.
