Drivers told to be prepared as busiest August bank holiday since 2015 expected

The RAC's survey revealed that a staggering 19.2 million leisure trips by car are expected this August bank holiday weekend, reflecting a resurgence in travel since 2015.
With 84% of travelers planning day trips, Saturday is predicted to be the most congested day as 3.7 million leisure journeys are anticipated.
Transport analytics firm Inrix advised that congestion will peak on Friday between 10am and 6pm, and Saturday between 10am and 1pm, particularly on routes to coastal resorts.
RAC's Alice Simpson highlighted the importance of ensuring vehicles are in good condition for travel, especially with the anticipated significant increase in road traffic.
