Poplin launched in 2018 as a peer-to-peer laundry app and has expanded to more than 500 cities, processing over 10 million loads annually. The company originated from a reaction to persistent household laundry burdens and positions itself as technological innovation in a century-old chore. About 200 independent providers serve the San Diego area through Poplin, offering wash, fold, and delivery services.
