Zero-G is expanding its operations, responding to rising demand for lunar and zero-gravity research flights since the Artemis I launch. CEO Kevin Sproge noted an increase in bookings, with flights utilizing a Boeing 727 to simulate micro and low gravity. Currently, consumer experiences include 15 parabolas per flight, with a focus on lunar and zero gravity, while research flights can involve tailored parabolas to meet specific experimental needs. The rising interest in lunar-themed research flights is shaping Zero-G's future endeavors as they also consider expanding their routes to Europe and beyond.
There's tremendous demand right now for lunar research and lunar flights, with the launch of Artemis I ... it's becoming real.
We actually do all-lunar flights because there's a lot of interest in lunar research.
Each parabola results in approximately 30 seconds of zero gravity while the aircraft dives.
On our research side, we do 30 parabolas, typically, and those are tailored to the experiment.
