A day in the life of Jamie Siminoff, founder and CEO of Ring: 'I have all the wrong routines.'
"I wake up between 6:30 and 7 a.m. I don't use an alarm clock because I hate them. The first thing I do is turn on the "Today" show, grab my phone, and have a cup of black coffee. Everyone says, "Don't get right on your phone in the morning," but I love getting on my phone for at least 30 minutes to check emails and catch up."
"I have a Tesla Model Y, and the car drives me. It's amazing. I don't touch the wheel. I have figured out exactly where to put my phone in the car so that I can do emails without getting yelled at, because the car will yell at you if you don't look ahead. I have to keep it pretty high on the wheel, so about every other month or two, I get a ticket for using my phone while driving."
Wake between 6:30 and 7 a.m. without an alarm, starting with black coffee, the "Today" show, and about 30 minutes of email on his phone. He drops his son at school at 8 a.m., often listening to Ryan Seacrest with his 17-year-old. He typically fasts until lunch but sometimes shares family breakfast when time allows. Commute to the office is about 30 minutes in a Tesla Model Y using driver-assist, during which he handles emails by placing his phone high on the wheel to avoid the car's attention prompts. He sometimes receives tickets for phone use while driving and arrives at the office around 8:30 a.m.
