The Godot development team has swiftly released a new beta version within a week of the last release. Community contribution in providing regression reports has significantly aided the process. Another beta release is anticipated next week, followed by preparations for release candidates. Financial support for the project is encouraged as it relies on volunteers and a small paid team. Highlights from the Godot 4.4 beta provide an overview of changes, majorly focused on regression fixes and the introduction of .uid files.
The team is fully in the swing of getting release-blockers merged, so we're able to expedite output. Our community has been on the ball with submitting regression reports.
We'll likely do one more beta release the following week, but after that we hope to be gearing up for release candidates.
Please, consider supporting the project financially, if you are able. Godot is maintained by the efforts of volunteers and a small team of paid contributors.
