OpenAI hosted DevDay 2025 in San Francisco and presented a suite of developer tools and APIs aimed at increasing application development and platform usage. The company reported 4 million developers building with its tools, 800 million weekly ChatGPT users, and API processing exceeding six billion tokens per minute. First-half 2025 revenue reached $4.3 billion while net losses widened to $13.5 billion. New releases include Apps SDK for app discovery/invocation in ChatGPT, AgentKit (Agent Builder, Connector Registry, ChatKit), expanded Evals, general availability of Codex, the GPT-5 Pro API, and a smaller voice model, gpt-realtime-mini.
