New York to ban 'addictive' suggested posts on social media feeds for kids

The bill in NY Legislature allows parents to block their kids from getting social media posts suggested by algorithms, attempting to curb addictive feeds for children under 18.

Platforms can't display suggested posts to minors without parental consent, limiting notifications from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., with the Attorney General tasked to create guidelines.
