Sister Stanislaus Kennedy (born Treasa Kennedy, 19 June 1939) died after a short time at St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown. She grew up near Lispole on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry as one of five children in a farming family. She joined the Religious Sisters of Charity in 1958 and was professed in January 1960. She devoted her life to helping others and became a leading advocate for the homeless, immigrants and disadvantaged communities across Ireland and beyond. She consistently challenged the status quo and worked to influence policy and promote social justice, leaving a legacy that will inspire future activists.
