Childcare Advocates, Clergy Celebrate Dropped Protest Charges
Briefly

Rev. Dr. Rodney Sadler expressed, "We welcome this dismissal of our charges, but the real criminal is the leadership of the North Carolina General Assembly who has continued to refuse to fund child care in our state. We stood up for the vulnerable and against the powerful, and today, justice prevailed. But our work is far from over. We remain steadfast in our commitment to fight for the funding and resources our children need."
Emma Biggs reflected on the means of protest, stating, "It is a shame that it took us getting arrested to get the attention of the General Assembly! I have no regrets on getting arrested. It’s the least I can do to stand for injustice and fight for the rights of our childcare industry in North Carolina."
