Activists plant war protest doll inside Disneyland
Briefly

Activists planted a doll near the Japan exhibit at Disneyland holding a 'Remember Hiroshima' sign in honor of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing. The doll was designed to represent the organization's mission against military overspending. The protest aimed to draw attention to the proposed $2 trillion U.S. nuclear weapon spending, despite the existing arsenal's capability. It emphasized the lack of media focus on military budgets, correlating it with societal forgetfulness surrounding Hiroshima's impact. The choice of the protest location symbolized a desire for a peaceful future.
"We thought that the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima was a good opportunity to draw attention to the fact that the US government is planning to spend $2 trillion on nuclear weapons when we already have a nuclear arsenal big enough to blow up the world many times over," Donze told SFGATE by phone.
"They've turned us all into murderers, and they're taking our money, buying bombs with it, and giving it to Israel to slaughter people in Gaza," Cohen told Fox News.
"Activists chose It's A Small World 'because it's a ride that celebrates the kind of world we want for our children,' Cohen said on social media."
"Headlines are focused on so many other things right now, and I don't think that the Pentagon's budget is getting enough attention. So, we believe the plan to build more nuclear weapons proves that we really have forgotten what happened in Hiroshima."
