World Cup would be 'icing on cake' for Wales' Ramsey
"There are a lot of things that need to fall into place for that [playing at the World Cup] to be a realistic target,"
"We'll see now over the next couple of weeks. I can't play for anybody until January anyway so we'll see how things develop,"
"the icing on the cake"
"still has a lot to offer"
Wales defeated North Macedonia 7-1 and sit two wins away from World Cup qualification for USA/Canada/Mexico. Wales will play Bosnia-Herzegovina in Cardiff in the play-off semi-final and would host the winner of Italy versus Northern Ireland in a potential final. Captain Aaron Ramsey has not featured for Wales in 14 months due to injury but remains a target for selection if he regains fitness. Ramsey's one-year contract with Pumas UNAM may have been terminated early after only six appearances. Ramsey cannot play for a new club until January. Ramsey's time in Mexico was marred by the disappearance of his dog Halo.
