The Football Association of Wales (FAW) recorded record revenues of £36.2m for the financial year ending June 2023, with a 56% increase attributed to Wales qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. Despite operating losses, FAW's investment portfolio of £17.6m led to a post-tax profit of £173,432.
The Cymru Football Foundation, FAW's charitable arm, invested over £9m in grassroots and community projects in Wales since its establishment in 2022. Chief executive Noel Mooney prioritized this area after qualifying for the World Cup propelled FAW closer to its grassroots football development goals.
