'Without bad things, you don't know what the good things are' - Primoz Roglic forlorn and philosophical about Tour de France chances
Briefly

Primož Roglič expressed feelings of defeat and reflection regarding his racing career at a press conference before the Tour de France. Following a crash at the Giro d'Italia, he highlighted significant health struggles that impeded his Tour ambitions. Roglič indicated that he has no specific personal goals for this Tour, instead emphasizing a desire to complete the race. At 36, with a contract until 2026, he hinted at nearing retirement, recognizing his vulnerability to injury and shifts in perspective that come with age.
"I was finished after the Giro, I was on antibiotics and stuff because I also had some kind of bacteria. I was suffering, I was on my knees," Roglič said.
"Every day that we live is close to our last day. Every Tour I do is probably close to the last one I will do," he said cryptically.
"For some things you can say it's your fault or you are in the place where things happen. What matters is how you take it and go with it. I try to learn from every situation."
