Wilshere out of 'comfort zone' in Norwich role

After leaving his academy role at Arsenal, former England midfielder Jack Wilshere joined Norwich City as a first-team coach, aspiring to a future in management. Despite his ambition, he is humble about the challenges ahead. At only 33, after an injury-plagued career, which included notable tenures at top clubs, Wilshere recognizes the importance of stepping outside his comfort zone, aiming to succeed at Championship level. He appreciated the influence of Norwich's head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup and sporting director Ben Knapper in his decision to join Carrow Road.
Growing up as a player, you were reminded a lot, 'Don't be in your comfort zone... my ambition - and I've been open about this - is to be a head coach at some point.
I saw a few of his teams before, when I played in Denmark... it was clear that this was the right step for me.
