The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced the competitors for the upcoming welterweight and featherweight tournaments in its 2025 World Tournament, set to begin in April at Universal Studios Florida. The welterweight division includes fighters like former Bellator champion Jason Jackson and Magomed Umalatov, while the featherweight tournament will see the return of 2023 champion Jesus Pinedo and unbeaten Movlid Khaybulaev. Each division offers a $500,000 prize for the winners and a total payout exceeding $20 million. The tournament format features single-elimination matches, emphasizing high-stakes competition among elite fighters.
"The PFL World Tournament is the toughest test in MMA, where fighters have one shot to win and advance," said PFL CEO Peter Murray. "Our welterweight and featherweight divisions are stacked with world-class talent, each athlete facing a high-stakes, single-elimination path to greatness."
Former Bellator MMA champion Jason Jackson is returning to tournament action, highlighted by his eight-fight winning streak before a recent championship match loss.
The featherweight lineup includes notable fighters like 2023 PFL champion Jesus Pinedo, who will be returning after not competing in 2024.
The 2025 PFL World Tournament will offer more than $20 million in total payouts, and each bracket winner will earn a $500,000 bonus.
