Wearing the Bayern Munich number 10 jersey is a dream come true for Jamal Musiala
"It's always been my dream to play with the number 10 at FC Bayern. I feel the new pressure and responsibility, but it also gives me an extra push,"
"When you see what the number 10 means, there's an enormous responsibility behind it. I got the number because I've delivered and performed over the years."
Jamal Musiala inherited Bayern Munich's iconic number 10 jersey at a very young age and embraces the added pressure and responsibility as motivation. Mentorship from Leroy Sané and other senior teammates accelerated his development and created a personal connection to the jersey beyond club and fan obligations. A lineage of club stalwarts including Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthäus, Mehmet Scholl, Roy Makaay, and Arjen Robben previously wore the number 10. Musiala moved from Chelsea at 16, debuted for Bayern at 17 and Germany at 18, and has accumulated 72 goals and 46 assists for club and country.
