Villa 'dug deep' to beat Leeds says Rogers, Farke not worried despite another defeat
""It was a great win at a difficult place. We had to dig deep and work hard and show our determination,. We deserved the win in the end. "When you look at everyone in the room we will work as hard as we can and leave everything out there. We may not be at it as normal but sometimes heart and determination gets you over the line.""
""The manager was banging on at me to get in the box and make runs into the box. There was a lot of pace on the ball so thankfully I was able to direct it. I am happy the free-kick went in. I tried to replicated Emi [Buendia] and thankfully it went in. I tried a bit in training and have been trying. The set-piece coach is banging on at me to keep trying in training.""
Morgan Rogers scored twice, including a deft second-half equaliser and a direct free-kick in the 75th minute, to overturn a 1-0 deficit and give Aston Villa a 2-1 win at Leeds. Lukas Nmecha had put Leeds ahead before Rogers levelled and then converted a practiced set-piece. Rogers has been working on free-kicks and set-piece technique in training alongside teammates, with encouragement from the set-piece coach. Aston Villa have won six of their last seven matches and sit fourth in the Premier League. Leeds suffered a third straight defeat and remain under pressure.
