Vardy completes Serie A move

Jamie Vardy has joined Serie A side Cremonese on a free transfer after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season. He signed a one-year contract with Cremonese, running until the end of June 2026 with an option to extend subject to conditions. Vardy made 500 appearances for Leicester, scored 200 goals and played a central role in Leicester's 2016 Premier League title. The 38-year-old holds Premier League records including most consecutive games scored in and being the oldest top scorer. He also won the FA Cup with Leicester and multiple Footballer of the Year awards. Cremonese have won their first two matches this campaign.
