"Officials from the governing body believe the next broadcast rights sale for Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League games could bring in a minimum of 5bn (4.3bn) annually. The current rights, sold in 2024, are worth about 2.9bn per year and new deals will come into effect from 2027. Rights are due to be put out to tender this month and are likely to involve a six-year commitment - double the current length."
UEFA plans to put Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League broadcast rights up for tender, targeting a minimum of €5bn annually from the next sale. Current rights sold in 2024 generate about €2.9bn per year and new deals start in 2027 with an expected six-year term. One first-pick match per round could be allocated to a streaming platform such as Amazon, Disney or Netflix, while broadcasters can bid across multiple national markets. Revenue distribution remains weighted toward Champions League clubs (≈75%), with 17% to Europa League and 8% to Conference League sides.
