Tuchel tells Bellingham: 'Accept, respect' decisions
"I saw that he was not happy. I don't want to make it bigger at the moment than it is. I think to a certain degree if you have players like Jude, who are so competitive, they will never like it, but, as you said, my word stands. It is about standards and level, and it's a commitment to and respect to each other, so someone is waiting outside, and we will not change our decision just because someone is waving their arms."
"That's the decision, and he has to accept the decision. His friend is waiting on the sideline, so you need to accept it, respect it, and keep on going. I didn't see it that way, I'm going to have to review it."
England completed a perfect World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win in Albania, Harry Kane scoring a late brace to secure the victory and an eighth clean sheet. Jude Bellingham started his first England match since June but was substituted six minutes from the end after being one of seven changes from the Serbia game. Bellingham reacted with visible frustration on the touchline as Morgan Rogers waited to replace him. Manager Thomas Tuchel insisted the substitution decision must be accepted, stressing standards, mutual respect and commitment, and warned that individual incidents should not detract from the collective achievement. England became the first European side to win at least six qualifiers without conceding.
