Four Women's Championship clubs will begin a pilot scheme in January allowing fans to drink alcohol in the stands during selected matches, challenging existing norms.
Nikki Doucet, chief executive of WPLL, emphasized the distinction between fan behavior in men's and women's games, stating, 'Our fan base is different and we want to give our fans choices while ensuring safety.'
