Tottenham fined after 'Nazi salutes' by fans during Champions League match
"The club has cooperated fully with UEFA's investigation, as well as with German police on the night and, subsequently, the Met Police. We can confirm that all three individuals found to be making Nazi salutes towards Eintracht Frankfurt fans have been identified and have received indefinite bans under the Club's Sanctions and Banning Policy."
"The club stands firmly against all forms of discrimination and has therefore taken the strongest possible action. The disgusting behaviour of a minority of so-called fans on the night is in no way reflective of the values of our club and its supporters."
UEFA imposed sanctions on Tottenham Hotspur following incidents during a Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt. The club received a €30,000 fine for Nazi salutes made by supporters and an additional €2,250 fine for fans throwing objects. A one-match ban on selling away fan tickets was suspended for one year as part of probationary conditions. Tottenham identified three individuals responsible for the Nazi salutes and issued them indefinite bans under the club's sanctions policy. The club cooperated with UEFA, German police, and the Met Police during investigations and stated it stands firmly against discrimination.
