Liam Rosenior has agreed to take over as Chelsea head coach, departing Strasbourg despite recent success. Rosenior was a leading candidate after Enzo Maresca's exit and has built a strong coaching reputation since his 2024 Hull City departure. Strasbourg finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season and occupy the same position in 2025-26, under shared BlueCo ownership with Chelsea. Rosenior travelled to London for talks and confirmed he expects to be in charge for Chelsea's FA Cup tie at Charlton Athletic. He cited the prestige of Chelsea, interest from other Champions League clubs, and personal sacrifices while at Strasbourg.
