THEN AND NOW: What 10 former Olympic stadiums look like today
Briefly

After reunification in 1990, Berlin's Olympiastadion was renovated and reopened in 2004. It's Germany's largest stadium, hosted the 2006 FIFA Men's World Cup and 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, and serves as Hertha BSC's home since 1963.
The National Stadium in Beijing, used for the 2008 Olympics, resumed hosting events in 2022. With its $10 million annual maintenance cost, it generates income through tours.
After the Expos moved to Washington, DC, the Quebec government invested $870 million in the stadium to repair the roof. Failure to fix it would lead to closure within two years.
In Sarajevo, the Zetra Ice Hall was destroyed during the Bosnian War. The Juan Antonio Samaranch Olympic Hall was rebuilt in 1999, with other Olympic sites abandoned.
