Long before he was technical director at Bangor City, Pedro Pasculli won the 1986 World Cup with Argentina. The diminutive striker won domestic titles with Argentinos Juniors and starred in Serie A for Lecce, scoring his country's winner against Uruguay in the last 16 of that tournament.
Ruben Ayala, known for his almighty moustache and long hair combo, was a top Argentine player of the early 70s. Despite his international career ending in 1974, he continued succeeding with Atletico Madrid, helping them to Copa del Rey and LaLiga success after reaching the 1974 European Cup final.
Claudio Lopez was a skilful dribbler with great pace, earning 55 Argentina caps and contributing to their 1998 World Cup quarter-final run. He won domestic cups in Spain and Italy, was a set-piece specialist with silver at the 1996 Olympics.
Javier Saviola, who played for Barcelona and Real Madrid, excelled with Barcelona, winning the U-20 World Cup, 2004 Olympic gold, and earning 39 senior caps for Argentina.
