Sunderland have completed the £3m signing of 22-year-old Malmo goalkeeper Melker Ellborg on a contract running until summer 2030. Ellborg made seven league appearances for Malmo and has experience in Champions League and Europa League fixtures. He will join the squad at the Stadium of Light immediately but will not be eligible for the upcoming match against Burnley.
