Stanway confirms Bayern exit at end of the season - Soccer News
"I am incredibly grateful to Bayern. Thankfully, my time here isn't over yet,"
"The decision to leave was incredibly difficult. I definitely didn't make it lightly. I've made friends and memories here that will last a lifetime, and I've been able to develop enormously as both a player and a person. I will give absolutely everything for Bayern and our sporting success until the very last day - just as I have for the past three and a half years."
Georgia Stanway joined Bayern Munich ahead of the 2022–23 season and will depart at the end of 2025–26. She has won three Frauen-Bundesliga titles and the DFB-Pokal Frauen with Bayern. Stanway made 67 Bundesliga appearances, scored 21 goals and provided 17 assists after moving from Manchester City. No midfielder has directly contributed to more goals (38) than Stanway in the German top flight since her arrival, and only Svenja Huth has more assists (21). Stanway expressed gratitude to Bayern, pledged to give everything until her final day, and is able to sign a pre-contract for 2026–27, with a return to the Women's Super League—Arsenal reported as front-runners—widely tipped.
