Mark Hughes, aged 62, manages non-league Carlisle United and is actively working to return the club to the Football League after relegation. Hughes has extensive Premier League experience, including successful spells at Blackburn, Manchester City and Stoke City, and ranks among the most experienced managers of the Premier League era. He remains undecided on retirement and believes he has not reached that stage. Hughes applies his top-flight managerial experience to coaching lower-league players and sees many similar challenges at National League level, with Carlisle competing near the top of the table and targeting an FA Cup third-round place.
