Alexander Isak made his Liverpool debut against Atlético Madrid, playing 58 minutes before being substituted for Hugo Ekitike. The Sweden international joined Liverpool from Newcastle for a British-record £125 million and is still recovering full fitness after a disrupted preseason. Head coach Arne Slot said Isak looked fitter than expected and was a joy to watch, but warned that three games a week remain too demanding and rotation will be necessary.
