The goal arrived on the 25-minute mark as an Olympico that beat Matz Sels. VAR reviewed possible contact from Tyler Adams on the goalkeeper and judged there was no shove. Slow-motion replays showed Neco Williams' block ricocheted off Tavernier before the ball went out, which should have produced a goal-kick. VAR cannot intervene in the award of corners, throw-ins or free-kicks, so the on-field decision stood.
