Former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury is set to co-manage England's team alongside Wayne Rooney at the Soccer Aid 2025 charity match, returning to Old Trafford on June 15. Rooney, coming out of retirement to play, highlighted their shared passion for sports, noting the seriousness with which they will approach the game. The annual match raises funds for Unicef and has successfully accumulated over £106 million since its inception in 2006. This year promises exciting debuts and reunions among footballing legends and popular personalities.
"The prospect of leading my England team to victory this June fills me with just as much excitement as any heavyweight fight," said Fury.
"I'm a big boxing fan, so to do it alongside Tyson Fury is fantastic. We have this in common - we'll both be taking it incredibly seriously," Rooney said.
