"Thanks everybody for the messages, won't be long til I'm back,"
"He got a knock on his foot, a stamp on his foot, and it had to be stitched,"
"I don't know how many stitches, but a few. The doctor told me it doesn't look so bad. I'm always hopeful. We have to be hopeful. I don't know if he will be OK for the Tottenham game, but I'm still hoping that he will be back against Fulham."
Chris Richards was stretchered off with a nasty cut to his right foot during Crystal Palace's League Cup quarterfinal against Arsenal and required stitches. Richards posted on Instagram thanking supporters and saying he will be back soon. Manager Oliver Glasner provided no firm timetable, saying the doctor felt the injury did not look so bad and expressing hope Richards might recover in time for the Fulham match. Palace lost to Arsenal on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Richards, 25, is a regular U.S. starter. The U.S. also faces the longer-term absence of Tyler Adams after an MCL tear.
