Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe emphasizes the importance of maintaining belief in their qualification for Euro 2025 after their loss against England. She acknowledges the team's effort, stating they pushed hard for goals in the second half.
"The first half we were quite passive. We allowed them too much space, and for us, they were avoidable goals [to concede] and we'll look to get better at that going forward," Katie McCabe reflects on the team's performance against England and areas for improvement.
"They are European champions and they showed their qualities in the end, and I think they were even timewasting at one point to run the game out which I was surprised at," McCabe commented on England's tactics towards the end of the game.
