Rangers completed the signing of 21-year-old striker Yousseff Chermiti from Everton for an undisclosed fee. Chermiti has signed a four-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club. He progressed through Sporting's youth academy and made 22 appearances, scoring three goals, in the 2022-23 season before a reported transfer to Everton for £11.5m rising to £14m with add-ons. He has since appeared 24 times for Everton, only two of them starts, and failed to score. The Portugal Under-21 international had two years remaining on his Everton contract.

But he has since played just 24 times, only two of them starts, for Everton without finding the net. The Portugal Under-21 international had two years left of his contract still to run with David Moyes' club.
