Pride 'devastated' as Banda ruled out for season

Barbra Banda suffered a season-ending soft-tissue injury — a full thickness avulsion of her right adductor longus tendon — during the Aug. 16 draw with Kansas City Current. The Zambia international has been placed on the Season Ending Injury list and will miss the rest of the campaign. Banda scored 13 goals in the 2024 regular season and added a record four playoff goals, including the championship-winning goal. She led Orlando with eight goals in 16 appearances this season, and the Pride sit fourth in the NWSL standings. The club pledged comprehensive care and support for her rehabilitation.
