"Ange Postecoglou is back in the Premier League. Multiple reports from the UK state the Aussie will be confirmed as Nottingham Forest's new coach tonight. The Athletic's David Ornstein reported Postecoglou will be in charge for the side's visit to Arsenal this Saturday (UK time) along with several members of his former Tottenham coaching staff. Postecoglou had contact from Al Ahli and Brentford during his time away from the Premier League while Germany's Bayer Leverkusen also considered him."
"He took Tottenham to a drought-breaking trophy, defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final, earlier this year but was sacked after they finished 17th in the Premier League. Postecoglou will get to coach in the Europa League again this season as Forest qualified due to Crystal Palace being demoted to the Conference League. They will face Real Betis, Porto, Braga, Ferencváros, Sturm Graz, Midtjylland, Utrecht and Malmö FF in the league phase."
"Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has a close relationship with Postecoglou, and has targeted the former Socceroos boss following his fallout with existing Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo. "What I want to say about Ange is that he has spoken about Greece many times, he is proud to be Greek and in the great success he had with Tottenham by winning the Europa League, he spoke about Greece," Marinakis said recently. "A man who not only does not hide his origin but is also proud of it.""
