The Cosmos have rebranded and relocated to Paterson, New Jersey, moving away from its former association with New York. Starting in 2026, the men's team will compete in USL League One while a women's team is expected to join USL Super League in 2027. Home games will be at the 7,800-seat Hinchliffe Stadium, significantly smaller than previous venues. North Jersey Pro Soccer now oversees the club, and Giuseppe Rossi has assumed key leadership roles, emphasizing local player development and community engagement.
"The real magic will be the players we develop right here in North Jersey," Rossi said at a launch event at Paterson City Hall. "We're going to show what it means to be a Cosmo. The values, the style, the community - that's what draws people in."
The Cosmos have been relaunched, dropped references to the Big Apple from their name, and will be based in Paterson, New Jersey.
