The CAS decided to reduce Paul Pogba's doping suspension from four years to 18 months, ruling that his ingestion of a prohibited substance was unintentional.
Pogba argued that he took the banned substance DHEA unintentionally, through supplements prescribed by a doctor, and had assurances of the physician’s expertise in anti-doping.
Although the CAS supported Pogba's claims and acknowledged the lack of opposing evidence, they concluded he should have exercised greater caution as a professional athlete.
