Oxlade-Chamberlain ready for short-term Celtic move
"I spoke to him this morning, I think he wants to come and and I think he's coming. I would have assumed he's gotten a number of options. I think there was even talk about Arsenal, where he is training, might take him on because they might pick up a couple of injuries, so I'm delighted that he's going to come, so he says."
"So I think he's doing a medical tomorrow and all being well, I'm hoping that he signs on. This boy is here to try and play and try and get into the team and try and get as fit as possible as quickly as possible. I think it would be nice to have him here with the squad just for at least these couple of months."
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 32, has agreed to join Celtic for the remainder of the season and will undergo a medical on Saturday. He has been a free agent since leaving Besiktas in August. His last appearance was an 11-minute cameo against Adana Demirspor on 11 May before sustaining a knee injury. Celtic expect him to try to play, compete for a place in the team, and work to get as fit as possible as quickly as possible. Celtic plan to have him with the squad for at least a couple of months.
