'No reason' to want Salah to leave Liverpool says Slot
"We decided as a club and I was part of that, not to take him to Inter."
"Do I want him to stay? The next time I speak about Mo will be with him. I see no reason why I don't want him to stay."
"I will have a conversation with Mo this morning, the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow," Slot said. "After the Sunderland game there were a lot of conversation between his representatives and ours, between him and me."
"Apart from being unbeaten, we have shown we have been a team in the last four games that is difficult to beat and create chances against," the manager said. "The team has worked really hard, put a lot of effort in, been a bit unlucky in the results but showed great resilience, four games in 10 days with not a lot of players available. "It's a compliment to the player"
Arne Slot has left Mohamed Salah’s involvement for the Brighton game undecided and will speak with Salah before finalising the squad. Salah was left at home for the midweek Champions League trip to Milan after saying he had been "thrown under the bus" and that his relationship with the manager had broken down. The club decided not to take him to Inter, and there were subsequent conversations between Salah, his representatives and the club. Salah last scored on 1 November and is due to join Egypt for the African Cup of Nations. Liverpool have gone four games unbeaten since he was dropped, with Slot praising the team’s resilience and stressing the need for Salah to return to form.
