Dan Burn will provide the pre-recorded voice of the Genie in a production of Aladdin at The Phoenix Theatre in Blyth from December 6 to December 28. Burn will not appear on stage because his contribution is pre-recorded due to Newcastle United's congested Christmas schedule, which includes a North-East derby against Sunderland on December 14 and Premier League fixtures versus Chelsea and Manchester United on Boxing Day. The Phoenix Theatre confirmed Burn's involvement on social media. Burn signed a contract extension with Newcastle until summer 2027, made his England debut in March 2025, and helped Newcastle win the Carabao Cup.
