Newcastle have secured the signing of Georgian forward Vakhtang Salia from Dinamo Tbilisi and will register him once he turns 18 later this week under FIFA rules. The move followed interest from clubs including Arsenal, with Newcastle finalising the agreement under former sporting director Paul Mitchell. Salia thanked Dinamo coaches, teammates, staff and fans, recalling his debut goal and expressing readiness to work hard. He becomes the third teenage recruit this summer after Antonio Cordero and Park Seung-soo.
