Mohamed Salah has been left out of Liverpool's squad for the Champions League trip to Inter Milan at the San Siro after being omitted from the starting lineup for three successive matches. Salah said he was very disappointed, claimed the club had 'thrown him under the bus', and said promises made in the summer had not been kept. Manager Arne Slot described the situation as far from ideal, said the decision not to take Salah reflected how the club felt about his comments, and denied that anyone deliberately scapegoated the player.
