Millwall have signed goalkeeper Joel Coleman on a one-year deal as a free transfer. The 29-year-old played in the Premier League for Huddersfield Town and spent the past two seasons at Bolton Wanderers. Millwall have already signed Steven Benda and Max Crocombe this summer, and Coleman has been added to provide further depth to the goalkeeping unit. Goalkeeping coach Dean Thornton highlighted Coleman's experience across all levels, including a Championship play-off final, and said Coleman can raise training standards, support the other keepers, and bring excitement to sessions. Coleman is a 6ft 5in product of Oldham Athletic's academy and has represented multiple clubs.

"Joel has played at every level, from the Premier League to League Two, and has also been involved in a Championship play-off final, so his experience is what we are looking for in him as well," said Millwall goalkeeping coach Dean Thornton. "I've seen at previous clubs how undervalued the role that Joel has come into can be. "He can come into training and drive standards as well as supporting Max and Steven. But also he brings some excitement to sessions and will keep the goalkeeping unit working really well."
