Miami determined to continue growth after MLS Cup win, says Mascherano - Soccer News
"I can certainly speak on the time I've been here. You can clearly see the club's growth on a daily basis,"
"As we always say, Leo's presence has contributed significantly to that. I think it's very important for the Inter Miami brand to continue on this path of growth and to keep getting bigger every day."
"I also believe that our sporting success has played a big role in how the club is viewed today. The ambition and vision of the club are to keep growing day by day and to always strive for more."
Inter Miami were named the most valuable club in Major League Soccer last week. The club won the MLS Cup for the first time last year with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps in December. Miami topped the charts in 2024, winning the Supporters' Shield before crashing out in the first round of the playoffs, and finished third in the Eastern Conference last season. Lionel Messi remains the team's focal point despite the retirements of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Javier Mascherano said the club shows daily growth and that Messi's presence has significantly advanced the Inter Miami brand. Miami open the new campaign at Los Angeles FC, while LAFC enter the season with Marc dos Santos as head coach after a playoff semifinal penalty defeat to the Whitecaps.
