"Bayern Munich have already begun to show their commitment to winning this year - whether it be in Germany or in Europe. After a satisfying 3-1 win against Chelsea FC at the Allianz Arena, Bayern traveled to Cyprus to face the Cyprian champions Pafos FC. In a game where the odds were already largely skewed towards Bayern, they went in and outclassed their hosts. Here are the awards from this fantastic 5-1 win."
"It is not very often that you see Guerreiro deliver a memorable performance, but tonight was one such instance. The duo of Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-Jae get their due praise in other games for being reliable, and barring a few errors from Kim, he is often a solid centre-back. However, the fact is that the two were responsible for the goal conceded before half-time."
Bayern Munich began the year determined to win domestically and in Europe, following a 3-1 victory over Chelsea before traveling to Cyprus to face Pafos FC. The Bavarians dominated a match already skewed in their favor, producing a comprehensive 5-1 victory. Oršić scored an excellent long-range goal that beat Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-Jae and left Manuel Neuer stumped, but Pafos could not contain Bayern’s control. Raphaël Guerreiro excelled in duels, ball retention, recovery and counters and scored in the 20th minute assisted by Nicolas Jackson. Aleksander Pavlović was quietly effective, while Joshua Kimmich controlled possession, interceptions and passing, shutting down passing lanes.
