Marco Silva rages after VAR controversy sees Chelsea beat Fulham in West London derby
Briefly

Fulham lost 2-0 to Chelsea after VAR overturned an early Joshua King goal, ruling that Rodrigo Muniz had committed a foul in the build-up. Fulham produced outstanding football in the first half but saw momentum affected by multiple VAR and referee decisions. Similar incidents earlier in the season prompted concerns about inconsistent officiating and impact on results. A disallowed goal was described as unbelievable and meetings with match officials have been held to seek clarity, with the position expressed that VAR should not act as the on-field referee. The team expressed reluctance to amplify criticism to avoid disciplinary sanctions.
In the first half I saw my team playing outstanding football. Playing football - not trying to be fake, not parking the bus or something like that. All the decisions from the VAR and the referee made a massive impact on the game. The second half was not at the level I would like to see from our team. After all the controversy against Man Utd last week... Similar incidents for the opposition and for us, they decide in a different way.
We are here to learn and to understand things but for me it is almost impossible for me to feel it is going to be balanced in the end. To disallow a goal like that is unbelievable. Unbelievable. We have all the meetings with the people in charge; we try to see their direction. One of the main things was: 'VAR is not here to referee the game'.
